Master Class Series
Since the company's inception in 1989, the Denton City Contemporary Ballet, DDC's resident affiliate dance company, has been dedicated to bringing professionals from all over the world to give Denton area dancers the opportunity to study from the best. Following are just a few of the wonderful dancers/teachers/ choreographers/artists who've traveled to Denton to work with the dancers in our community: Li Chou Cheng, Thom Clower, Edmond Cooper, James Clouser, David Curwen, Susan Douglas, Thomas Enckell, Comfort Fedoke, Lisa Fusillo, Elizabeth Gillaspy, Chris Koehl, Janice La Pointe, Sergei Pakarov, Olga Pavlova, Stephanie Rand, Leslie Scott, Lesley Snelson-Figueroa, Arlene Sugano, Nathan Trice, Astrid Von Ussar, & David Yeakle.

BALLET MASTER CLASSES, Intermediate & Advanced, with Thom Clower, February 9th, 1pm & 2:30pm
Known as one of the most energetic and inspiring teachers across the country, Thom Clower's "evangelistic" approach to teaching has touched the lives and careers of dancers across the country for over 35 years. With extensive training in Vaganova, Balanchine, Cecchetti, and Bournonville, Mr. Clower combines the qualities of each one of these styles to present a technique that is true and versatile.
Since 2002, Thom Clower has traveled around the world as a free-lance teacher. Mr. Clower's work has included regional companies and schools, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Atlanta Ballet, as a regular guest at Broadway Dance Center, Ballet Master for Young Tanzsommer, on faculty of Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and as Associate Ballet Master for Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo on their Australian/New Zealand Tour. Mr. Clower currently serves as Artistic Director of Ballet Ensemble of Texas.
