CONTEMPORARY MASTER CLASS WITH CASSIE HOBBS, January 6, 2018, 10am-11:30am
Cassie Hobbs was born in Dallas, TX. She began her dance training at Denton Dance Conservatory in Denton, TX under the instruction of Lisa Racina-Torre. She recently received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University in May 2017. She has performed at The Hobby Center with Houston’s Noblemotion Dance for three seasons and has performed works by Andy Noble, Elijah Alhadji Gibson, and Erin Reck. Cassie has attended Dance Italia in Lucca, Italy where she learned Ohad Naharin Repertory and trained under Elita Cannata, Cristina Plana Leitão, Christiano Fabbri, and Batsheva Dance Company’s Chisato Ohno, among others. In 2017, Cassie’s choreography was featured at Dance Gallery Festival in New York City.

WINTER BALLET INTENSIVE WITH THOM CLOWER, Feb. 5-8, 5:30 & 7:15pm, daily
Known as one of the most energetic and inspiring teachers across the country, Thom Clower's "evangelistic" approach to teaching has touched the lives and careers of dancers across the country for over 35 years. With extensive training in Vaganova, Balanchine, Cecchetti, and Bournonville, Mr. Clower combines the qualities of each one of these styles to present a technique that is true and versatile.
Since 2002, Thom Clower has traveled around the world as a free-lance teacher. Mr. Clower's work has included regional companies and schools, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Atlanta Ballet, as a regular guest at Broadway Dance Center, Ballet Master for Young Tanzsommer, on faculty of Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and as Associate Ballet Master for Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo on their Australian/New Zealand Tour.
CONTEMPORARY MASTER CLASS WITH MINDY JACKSON, Feb. 10, 2018, 12-1:30pm
Ms. Mindy Jackson is originally from the Chicagoland area and received her BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She has been a professional dancer, choreographer, Rehearsal Director, teacher and youth mentor for concert dance, theater, music videos and television for over 15 years. Notable credits include being recognized by Dance Magazine with an ENews exclusive and showcased as a style model in continuing issues of the publication. She has had the honor and privilege of working with top contemporary dance makers including Aszure Barton, Cherice Barton, Donald Byrd, Benoit Swan Pouffer, Larry Keigwin, Seán Curran, Monica Bill Barnes, Nathan Trice, Andrea Miller, Camille A. Brown, Mark Dendy, Zvi Gotheiner, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Celia Rowlson-Hall, and Cape Town South Africa’s Ikapa Dance Theatre to highlight a few. Honorable mention for her choreography includes being selected as 1 of 4 pieces from the North Caroline Dance Festival history to perform in the American Dance Festival’s (ADF’s) 80th Anniversary Celebration.
Currently, Mindy is the Director of Professional Training Programs and on faculty at Steps on Broadway in New York City.
