Denton Dance Conservatory’s resident non-profit youth company, the Denton City Contemporary Ballet (DCCB), will be taking an educational tour of New York City this June!  This will be the third out-of-state trip for this small Denton dance company.  In 2011 and 2014, DCCB was part of the Young Tanszommer Dance Festival, touring and performing all over Austria.  This time, the company will be taking classes at such highly reknowned dance schools as American Ballet Theatre, Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey Dance School, the Rockettes, and more!  They will go on backstage tours, learn the actual choreography from “CATS the Revival,” taught by a cast member, and more. The dancers, who range in age from ten years old to 50-something, will also get to go to a Broadway show, sightsee the typical NYC sights like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, etc.
