Thanks to our students, their families, and our wonderful faculty, DDC was able to PIVOT when we got shut down in March.  We offered online classes for all of our dancers, and continued setting choreography for our recital.  Our dancers showed up online and danced at home for 10 weeks, while we added air scrubbers to the HVAC units in order to clean the air and make it healthier for our dancers.  We had the entire studio "fogged" with disinfectant, the carpets cleaned, and trained the faculty on health and safety protocols.  We purchased hand sanitizer, social distancing decals, and infrared thermometers to take temps at the door.  We hired additional staff and volunteers to help escort the dancers to and from the entrance, take temperatures, and make sure everyone got to their parents safely. Our moms and dads trusted their dancers to us and did not come into the studio in order to keep the number of people down in the building.  All while our precious students danced in class for two weeks, and then filmed our virtual recital.  It has been a huge effort for everyone, and without the support of all of our faculty and DDC families, we could not have come through quarantine so blessed!!!

Now we are working on getting the studio ready for our fall classes. We are planning a "Hybrid" class format where we have in-person and online classes.  Details will be emailed to our PreRegistered students, and updates will continue on this site.  Thank you to our DDC Families and the Denton community at large for supporting DDC in such confusing and unprescedented times.  We are quite lucky!
