DDC’s Assistant Teacher Training Program started back in 1995 and has been going strong ever since!  DDC dancers who have trained with us a minimum of three years and who are at least 13 years of age are eligible to apply.  DDC has Assistant Teachers for all of our combo classes, as well as the Ballet III through V, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary.  Our Assistants have become a vital part of helping to keep our younger classes focused and organized, as well as helping instructors with administrative duties, and more.  Many of our Assistant Teachers have gone on after high school to teach dance classes of their own all over the country!  DDC Assistant Teachers become mentors and examples to our young dancers, and therefore the expectations of them are set quite high.  DDC Assistant Teachers need to have near perfect attendance in their own classes, subscribe to a high work ethic, maintain good grades academically, and be kind and considerate to all.  They have a passion for dance that is beyond their years and will learn “insider secrets” to keeping control of a dance class, communication skills, keeping a consistent work schedule, and more!  If you are interested in applying and meet the qualifications, please ask for an application by emailing Lisa at Director@dentondance.com.
