Candace Carpenter

Candace was born and raised in Denton, Texas. She started her dance journey at Denton Dance Conservatory at 3 years old. By the time she was 10, she had joined DDC’s resident non-profit dance company, the Denton City Contemporary Ballet (DCCB).  In the summer of 2017, she toured New York City with the company through DCCB’s Educational Touring Program, taking classes throughout the City.  She has participated in many intensives and master classes at DDC. Candace also joined our Assistant Teacher Program and assisted classes for 3 years, before teaching her own classes at DDC during her Junior and Senior years of high school. She attended Texas Ballet Theatre’s summer in 2021. After graduating from high school in 2022, she danced with Dallas Baptist University’s (DBU) Patriettes during the 2022-23 season. In April of 2022, Candace became a National Dance Alliance D2 Pom Division Champion with the DBU Patriettes. Besides teaching at DDC, Candace is dancing as a trainee for the Avant Chamber Ballet in Dallas.

We are so happy to have Ms. Candace back at DDC! She will be teaching ballet, tap, jazz, and helping with DDC’s Competition Company!
